Kevin and I went and drove the long 7 hours to Lethbridge this weekend to see Jenny's wedding reception. We decided to go through Swift Current instead of Brooks so we could see the giant hole in the highway out by Maple Creek. Sadly, it was dark out when we drove by and couldnt see much. On the way home however we saw it. HUGE! I can't believe it took out the entire side of the Trans-Canada.
Jenny's reception went well. I think less people came than what they were expecting, but the rest of it was pretty nice. Very proper and formal. Except the cotton-candy machine at the end, which was obviously our favorite part. Kevin loved being in charge of the machine. His arm was sticky and blue from gathering cotton candy, and his hair was covered in the candy fly-aways.
This week is going to be good. We have FHE tonight with D and E, and the Fireworks Festival on Friday. Grandma's birthday is on Saturday and I am signing up for a cake decoration class at Michaels!
