So it has been a good 3 months since we got married and we have placed ourselves in the ghetto of Saskatoon. It is quite the adventure living here. We have seen sketchy things thus far, and if we leave the window open at night a flood of police sirens fills our sleep heads.
I have been bouncing from job to job, trying to find the right fit. I started out working for APX installing security systems for the summer. I really enjoyed the hands on work, but the company was a little fishy with how they ran things, and after realizing it was a joke I quickly started to look for work elsewhere. I got a new job working part-time as a receptionist with a chiropractic clinic, but part time is part time, and when Kevin's boss mentioned a full time opening at the radio station we jumped on it.
I just had my interview and it looks like I will be working promotions at Saskatoon Media Group for the next 7 months filling in for a girl on maternity leave. The job sounds thrilling and I am excited to be starting it!
The past two weekends have been exciting as well. We had the Robertson reunion out in Zealandia SK, which was just a day long affair but very well organized and fun. And then we went camping just outside of Camrose with the Fairwell side of Kevin's family. We were swarmed by mosquitos, and got rained on quite a bit, but it was a fun camping adventure with white water rafting to top it all off.
The last few weeks I have been bugging Kevin about getting a cat. Our apartment is big enough to have an animal, and dogs arent really my thing. Kevin said if I got the job working at the radio station that he would get me a cat. So I am kind of excited for my new kitty, wherever he may be, to come home!
