yesterday was possibly the greatest day ever since we could watch the final 13 episodes of arrested development. we hurried home from church and made my themed lunch.
"you really love your themed meals, don't you"- kevin
yes, indeed i do. it has been far too long since my last themed meal (for the hunger games opening night) i hope this isn't my only weird meal of the year. ender's game is coming out in theatres, but i can't really think of anything for that. chocolate covered buggers?
anyways, here is our meal based on a few foods in arrested: hot ham water, mayonegg, cornballs, juice boxes, and frozen bananas
hot ham water
Lindsay: Hey, I found that canned ham that we've had forever, and I put it in a pot of boiling hot water, and guess what we're having?
Michael: Soup?
Linsday: Hot ham water.
we didnt actually eat this. we made a ham and lentil soup instead.
mayonegg
George Michael: "Oh, it’s so cute. She sometimes takes a little pack of mayonnaise, and she’ll squirt it in her mouth all over, and then she’ll take an egg and kind of... Mmmm! She calls it a 'mayonegg.' "
again, we failed at doing this one exactly as quoted, but here is our version
cornballs
i love this one, mostly because we were able to make really delicious corn fritters that could easily pass for a cornball.
frozen banana:
Michael Bluth: I burned it. Down to the ground.
George Bluth Sr.: There was money in that banana stand.
Michael Bluth: Well, it's all gone now.
George Bluth Sr.: There was $250,000 lining the inside walls of the banana stand.
Michael Bluth: What?
George Bluth Sr.: Cash, Michael. What the hell did you think I meant when I said...
[strangles Michael]
George Bluth Sr.: [yells, pausing after each word] There is money in the banana stand!
