well, elliot is now 10 months old! we are so happy that he is growing up. babies are cute, but not as much fun to be with. the past month he has really turned into a funny little dude we like to hang out with all the time.

our biggest news concerning this handsome little devil is: ELLIOT CAN CRAWL!!
praise be.

we have been trying to get him to crawl for some time now. he has just been a whiny blob on the ground and so we have been trying to push him to be mobile.

Here is Kevin trying to urge elliot to come to him. Something we have been doing a lot this month

On Sunday at dinner he decided to do it! I have a pamphlet the health nurse gave me at his 6 month immunizations that said "most babies will begin to crawl somewhere between 7 and 10 months" and I was bound and determined that he would crawl before the end of his 10th month, and at 10 months and one day old he did it!

Here is the video Leasa took of the event transpiring.

Not much other than the crawling has taken place since his 9 month update except that now he will eat eggs if they have melted cheese in them. He is growing bigger every week, his hair needs to be cut about once a month, and he thinks its super funny to stick his fingers in my mouth and nose. He never tries to pull that stuff with Kevin. How did I get so lucky?

IN OTHER NEWS:

We started working on our basement the past few weeks. Big changes coming. We are replacing the centre beam, supporting the structure, lowering the floor and then putting in a long weird shaped living room and a bathroom combined with a laundry room. Basically you will go pee and shower in the same place that I am folding laundry. But I would rather have a house with two showers even if one is in the washing room. Thus far we have torn down the centre beam, started putting up new supporting walls and this week we are pouring new footings for teleposts and busting out all the cement in what will be our new laundry/bathroom. The members of the EQ are coming this saturday to haul out dirt and cement so we can keep busting out the floor. So much stuff going on, and so much dirt tracked through the house, and so much lunch I have to provide to my workers.

We are also starting to dig deep into planning our little April vacation and are getting quite excited to visit some castles, volcanoes, hot springs, black sand beaches, geysers, glaciers, waterfalls and more! This outdoor adventure will make up for last summer and not being able to get out much with newborn E.

That is all for now! More pictures to come on the state of our basement in the future.
