first of many pregnancy updates

through my last pregnancy, i posted all the time the ups and downs of being pregnant, and in a way to compare pregnancies, i thought i would do it now as well.

i am currently in my 10th week of pregnancy. this time around has been different with telling people. last time i didn't mention it to a soul till 9 weeks along and then spilt the beans to everyone. this time around all my best woman friends knew the first day i did, and i told all of my sisters on that very same day. i only made it till 8 weeks till i told our families, and by that point i figured there was not much point in keeping it a secret so i told work and everyone who has access to my facebook page.

no hiding this time around.

this pregnancy thus far has been 100% different than the last! (great news) with the previous i had been sick multiple times a day from weeks 5-10 straight, until it went down to just once a day from 10-16 weeks. this time around, i have only been ill 2 times. other than tired and sore, i hardly feel pregnant at all. it has everyone guessing that this one is a girl, but i'm not so sure that i read into those wives tales.

one thing that has been consistent is my cravings. i am doomed to always crave the same things through each pregnancy i suppose.

my cravings are: ramen instant noodles, thin mints girl guides cookies, anything pickled (mostly olives though), salted lemons, salted rhubarb, and just straight up salt in general. (i had one of those hot rod pepperoni sticks that is almost 100% salt and nearly went straight to heaven) i'm having to drink a ton of water to balance things out and not make me feel disgusting a few hours later.

i am REALLY bad at taking my prenatal vitamins. i rarely can remember to do it. with having to quickly shower, wake elliot, breakfast ourselves and make it to daycare by 8:00am, everything else gets pushed aside. including vitamins and makeup. i'll have to start waking up earlier because this pregnancy thus far has been hard on my face skins.

i already feel super bloated and whale-like. everything is just thick and heavy and uncomfortable but i have nothing cute to show for it yet. my first picture with a decent sized belly was at 20 weeks last pregnancy. so i won't have anything substantial enough to take a picture of until at least Halloween this time around. poo poo. in the meantime i'll be uncomforable and barely fit into my clothings. not be big enough for maternity, but too large to fit into my pants.

last pregnancy i drew this picture which accurately describes how i look right now.
