and i think to myself, "what a wonderful week"

this past week has been full and wonderful minus a few things i will get to shortly.

this week Kevin's mother Donna came to visit for the week. we were so happy to have her come. for the first time since wee Sebastien was born we had a clean house, i was able to shower once a day, and Elliot didn't act out like i was neglecting him. it was glorious. grandma Donna took Elliot outside to play often and now he wakes up every morning asking for "shoe", which means to go outside.

during grandma Donna's stay, Kevin and I were able to go out one night to celebrate an early anniversary dinner. we went to Cibo Bistro and had a good time getting out just the two of us. i can't believe it been 5 years. and that we have 2 kids already. time is flyyyyyying!

at the end of the weekend we had a bunch of family come into town for Sebastien's baby blessing. it was great to get together with the Robertson gang. on Saturday afternoon we went to Borden park in Edmonton. its a great park in our end of town that has a woodsy/outdoors theme to it with tree-shaped structures, bears and snakes. it is rather adorbs. here are some photos of the wee Robertsons playing around.

on Saturday the boys all went down into my basement to put on the second coat of mud in the basement bathroom. we are so close to being done! i think it'll just be a month or two of work and we will be able to fully enjoy the basement. it has only been 2 years since we first started tearing down the straw insulation and busting holes in the floor. what a difference. it is almost hard to remember what it all looked like. i am looking forward to posting before and after pictures of the project once it is complete. in the meantime while the boys were downstairs, the cousins spent the day playing and taking turns holding baby Sebastien.

Aunt Elizabeth got matching shirts for the boys

and they did not want to pose for a picture together

like really didnt want a photo together

but they made up

Emmeline was so sweet with the baby.

William looks pretty happy to hold new cousins Baby Bastien.
On Sunday we had the baby blessing and a lunch as a meet and greet for the baby. i preferred it a lot to having a baby shower. in the morning Kevin gave Sebastien a very beautiful little blessing in church. my favourite part was Kevin said "i bless you that you will be strong and capable of bettering the world around you" I think as a parent that is a huge thing. that your offspring will somehow make a difference in making the world a better place.

here is a photo of some of the people who came out to support little baby sebastien on the beginning of his life journey.
i have the greatest and most beautiful friends and family

Well, that was pretty much the end of our fantastic week, however today marks the 1 month mark of Sebastien being born so I'll pay some tribute to him.

Sebastien Fraser: 1 month old:

-pretty vocal. if he is hungry he LETS YOU KNOW

- he give some deadly cute faces (once he is calmed down and fed). i forgot how much i enjoy sleepy milk drunk smiles. i know his social smile is still to come, but i get a little glimpse into what he will look like when his full real smile comes

- he weighs 10 lbs and is no longer in newborn clothing. 0-3 is a bit large, but he is growing nicely so they won't be so spacious in the next few weeks!

- he had his first haircut at 3 weeks because the skullet was absolutely driving mama crazy-pants

- he has had his first trip to emergency with a fever and bronchial infection. NOT a fun night. (you can blame that on big brother Elliot who went to emerg two weeks ago with the same thing)\

- he loves being carried in the beco structured carrier. not a big fan of the soft wrap, but i agree. i wouldn't want to be held that tightly either.

here is my handsome devil!

ONE MONTH!
