I made these cards last night because I just seem to have a lot of paper hanging around. I am not a scrapbooker, nor intend to be. The photo books I buy, are this sticky ones that I can just slap a picture down and not have to deal with the cutting and pasting and hours and tons of money. But I decided to do something with all this paper I have, so I sat down last night and made my very first cards ever.
I don't think they turned out too bad looking. I mean, they are all the same, with the flower in the corner, but when cards these days range anywhere from $3- $6.00 how can I go wrong with making these cards for under $0.25? And most of the paper I got for free, so basically they are free minus my 5 minutes labour per card.
Other than the cards, I am discovering how much cheaper it is just to make things yourself. Kevin and I already hardly ever eat out, saving money there, and I am starting to slowly replace the garbage Ikea furniture I have in my house for fun recycled furniture and lamps that can literally be found abandonned in the back alley, or at garage sales. (if you have any old furniture laying around and you just want to get rid of it, give me a call! I'll even swap you for some of the ikea stuff we have)
