The title of this post is thanks to my dad who exclaimed this last April when showers began to come.
There are SO many things to be excited for right now! Life is just generally very good. I am loving all the things that are happening as of late. There are many exciting events coming up.....
This Thursday night I attend my very first oil painting class at the Gene Prokop Art Gallery/ School. The class runs 3.5 hours long and is only $25 a class. I dont know if that is truly a good price, but the City of Edmonton runs Oil Painting Workshops through the spring, and it is $125.00 for only 3 hours of instruction on a saturday. For that price I am going to get 5 -3.5 hour classes! I hope they don't mind having a beginner there, because I have only completed about 4 paintings in my life, and they aren't anything to sneeze at.
Next Thursday I am hosting my good friend Lauren's baby shower! Kevin and were so excited to be able to go visit them in the hospital and view wee little Oliver in the first few days of his life. What a cute kid! We've been able to see him 2 other times since then, and the more I hold this precious now 6lb baby, the more I fall in love. Sarah and Jenny are helping me plan (meaning, they are doing most the work and have most the ideas) for the shower, and I am confident it'll be a great time with good friends.
April is also bringing not only expected showers, but a shower of activities!
1. We are going to see The Flatliners in concert on the 14th. We've been listening to their cds as we drive around in the car to freshen up on the punk rock lyrics that we will likely be shouting and pumping our fists to in a mosh pit.
2. Our 2nd wedding Anniversary is coming up on April 21st! We don't have any plans yet except for going out for dinner at our favorite romantic place in Edmonton. (and SO delicious) The Cafe Select. I have reccommended it before to my Edmontonian blog readers, and I will do so again! If you have any ideas of something to do after dinner for he anniversary, we welcome suggestions.
3. Look out Utah, here we come! We are heading down to Utah on a road trip April 27-May5th with the fam-jam to visit the Sulz' down there and also to attend Jaylene's wedding in Manti. We are excited to take the trip and Kevin is excited to be able to visit with my family and meet some more cousins of mine. We are going to hopefully visit with some old mission companions of mine and his and have a grand ole time!
4. I am going to be participating in an art sale on May 12th! Check my facebook site www.facebook.com/raevindesigns for more information!
