august update

I'm having one of those months where I don't want to do anything at all. Just come home from work, eat supper and veg. And writing in my blog? Pft, yeah right. That takes way too much energy!

But I thought I would write up a quick on.

1. We bought a house. It just happened one day. Late July Kevin and I were talking about how we would like to buy a house that when we are old we could turn into a bed and breakfast. Well, I was browsing MLS listings for fun and saw one I thought was cute. I jokingly mentioned to Kevin that we should go take a look for fun. And he agreed. (which is weird. he usually tells me to forget it when I get dreams of owning a house)
On August 4th, we went to view the house and now, a little over a month later we are going to sign our closing paperwork and we gain possession September 14th! What a whirlwind of a month!

2. Sarah should have a baby any day now! She is due September 12th, but I think everyone is crossing their fingers that it comes sooner so Tori can see it before she leaves on her mission. And really, I just want to hold a baby in my arms. Mmm. Smelling babies is sooo good, and I am sure Lauren T is getting rather tired of my holdings of her baby.

3. The Kaleido Festival is coming up on Fri-Sat-Sun this week! Kevin and I are volunteering there, so if you want a good family friendly festival, come on down any of those days! It has so many awesome things going on.

4. We got the days off work to go to Saskatoon for Thanksgiving! Should be a fun time!

Anyways, that is about all that is going on in our lives right now. We will be painting our new house from Sepember 17th- 26th essentially, so if you want to come paint and get free food, just give us a call!
