.babies are made of fruit.
kevin thinks it is rather funny that babycentre always compares the size of an unborn baby to a fruit. "today, your baby looks like a blueberry", "now your baby looks like a prune", "have you been eating too many pears lately? cause now you've made your baby look like one! you really are what you eat!"
i just have this fear that things will get out of control, and i'll end up with a giant strawberry from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, or the giant peach that James has an adventure in. try pushing out a giant peach. i can guarentee that won't be fun.
we have 3 more weeks until we get to see little "avocado" in our first ultrasound, and hopefully find out the gender. just knowing my luck, the baby will be not only crossing its legs, but covering its private areas with its hands too as a "nananana boo boo" to me. i guess we will only know when the day comes!
we are very interested to see what it is. not so secretly i want a boy. and its for purely selfish reasons too. 1) i think boys are less terrible than girls as teenagers 2) boy clothes are 100% cuter than girl clothes (it doesn't help that my favorite colors are blue and green, and girl clothes tend to have this awfully bright pink and purple hue) BUT. the only problem with a boy is that we have no idea what to name it. i have about 3 girls names that i am IN LOVE with, but almost nothing for boys names. i have some that i don't mind, but nothing that has jumped out and shouted "pick me, pick me!" and i don't want to name the kid something i'm going to hate later. so if you have any conservative, older, solid, not-spelled-weird boys names, i'd be happy to hear them.
so what do YOU think i am going to have? i don't really care, but i'm filling out this book called
"the belly book" as my pregnancy goes on, and it asks "what do your friends think you are having?" so for the sake of not having a blank question in my precious book, i ask you. are we looking at a pee pee or a wee wee?

I think you're going to have a baby. But if I had to pick a close second, I would say Giant Peach. Only because I want to trap a million seagulls and tie them to the peach to make it fly. But a baby would be OK too...and we could still try the seagull thing...
ReplyDeletei want to guess boy, because i know it would make you really really happy. but honestly, i kind of think you're having a girl! just dress her in cute striped t-shirts and jeans. and make her some cute, but not super girly headbands. you'll be good to go!
ReplyDelete...and i don't want to tell you any boy names, because they're all ones we want to use. (and brian is entirely convinced we are having ALL BOYS. ha ha!)
