in other, non-baby related news: kevin just got called as the elders quorum president in our ward. he is also keeping his calling teaching the 8-10 year olds in primary with me since some days i am just too tired/ sore to be sitting up through all of church. my husband is amazing- what can i say. juggling two stressful and busy callings (i'd argue teaching the 8-10 yr olds is the most stressful)
anyways, yesterday when the stake president announced his calling from the pulpit, he said "and we have called a new elders quorum president- brother Doug Robertson". for anyone who knows kevin's family...... doug is his DAD. who is already the stake president in Saskatoon. kevin was excited to call his father and let him know that not only will he be doing the calling of stake president in saskatoon, but also he'll have to carry out his new calling as EQ president in edmonton.
(unfortunately, even though kev was sustained as doug robertson, he was set apart as kevin douglas robertson and so he is stuck with the job)
well, the next few weeks should be picking up as far as being busy goes. i am kind of glad for that, because i mostly spend my days sleeping in, not combing my hair or showering, and slipping into my scrubbies to tidy the house or watch more episides of Cheers.
want proof? here is a picture of my 36 week ritual of no hairbrush or makeup.
yap. attractive.
we are going to see the oilers play tomorrow night (i am kind of excited to watch, even though they are out of the playoffs- maybe even especially since they are out of the playoffs. the pressure is off, and i am hoping to see an exciting and possibly high scoring game)
i also am going to start clearing out the flower beds that already have the snow melted off them. my little tomatoes are making good progress inside despite sofie having eaten 2 of them. i just hope she stays away from the rest. they finally grew their real tomato leaves that are quite tomatoey smelling and i think they are doing a good job of repelling her curiosity.
cheers!
