week seventeen

this is my 17 week picture taken at work by the lovely ms. rosie. i wish this picture was more accurate on how large i am, but most of my belly is all quite low, but pronounced and round. i just happened to wear the wrong shirt to work today.

this week has been interesting. i am running on very little sleep thanks to elliot, and i am starting to get uncomfortable while sleeping. hips are achy and my low baby just feels heavy and awkward and is starting to make sleeping on my tummy a pain. i'm determined to keep doing it as long as possible. i hate sleeping on my side. one arm always gets trapped and falls asleep.

i'm starting to think that maybe i should wear makeup. but i havent really worn makeup since i was a teenager, at least nothing more than just mascara and blush. is eyeliner still a thing? how do i apply it again? are pencils fine or is liquid better? i need some major beauty tips, so if anyone wants to come show me what would look best on a girl who's eyelids retract way too far for eyeshadow, submit your resume below.

i have stopped barfing as often, which means i also pee my pants less often! hurray. i was doing more laundry than ever before and i am glad it is mostly done with. the backpain is here to stay though, so it looks like i will need to reclaim my memory foam from my exchange student so i can make it through the next few months.

also, i am getting really impatient to find out the gender of this human. i really want a boy, but everyone is guessing it is a girl. i need time to get used to the idea of another female in the house. even an infant female. also, i feel so lazy right now. i dont want to buy any clothing or anything really. i was so excited last time to have a new baby but now i am just dreading it. (and this one is planned as well) maybe its just the pregnancy slumps making me over tired and unambitious.

next week i will be travelling to the states to visit two good friends of mine, Jaylene and Bridgette. jay has been a long time friend of mine since i was 16 years old. easily my oldest friend. i'm hoping lots of eating and relaxing and making fun of old high school acquaintances through their facebook pages happens. she has a little girl who isn't too far behind elliot in age, so i am sure they will be good friends.

bridgette is my longest running mission companion (and one of my favourites) i believe we spent 8 months together on the mission and had such fun. she's in vegas now (i am assuming because of a gambling addiction), and i am going to join her for a few days! woo woo. because there is so much to do in vegas with a baby. .... ... right? but i am confident it will be the best. all i ask while i am there is that all the good looking actors in Oceans 11 show up at the Bellagio fountain at the same time as me and they offer to take me out for dinner and we have such a good time together and they promise to come visit me in Canada.

i plan to take my camera (the one that i rarely use because i am not quite sure how it works), so there should be photographic evidence of this and i will blog about it when i get back! should be a back-to-back post because the day i get back is also the day we might be able to find out the gender of this baby.
