22 weeks, family photos, and other life happenings

Hi everybody,

Its the pregnant lady here.

Quick recap of our lives in the past few weeks.....

- my back pain is getting increasingly worse despite doing massage, chiro and physio weekly. my midwife has suggested i stop working all together so i am working on meeting with an OB to get some official paperwork signed. (that is another story all together.  my union doesn't recognize midwives as being primary caregivers for pregnancy related issues... buncha crap)

- we have been slowly working on the basement again. after the flooring was poured we sat back and relaxed for a while. mostly because we have no idea what we are doing and it is difficult to get started on a project when you don't have the know-how. but eventually we have started back up again. almost the whole basement is framed, and we have a quote from our electrician. all we need to do it wrap up the framing this week and then we might have electricity by christmas!

- elliot doesn't know it yet, but he is getting excited for christmas. we put up the tree last week and he just kept saying "wow, wow, wow" When we opened the box and started setting her up. And then the "wow wow WOW" came back when we turned on the lights. He ate his first candy cane and CANNOT GET ENOUGH. We have them high out of his reach but every so often he will remember they are there and ask "tsshhtt?" Which means"this?" As in, can I have this? He also uses tsshhtt when he points to something and wants you to tell him its name. But mostly it means "can I have this, or can we go to this?" So weird deciphering the seemingly meaningless sounds of a toddler. He almost always means something, but rarely do we know what he actually is trying to say.

- speaking of christmas, I wrapped the last gift this morning and placed it under the tree. Elliot has been good so far not to open any packages, but he has one favourite one that he will bring to me and ask "tsshhtt?" Nope, sorry Elliot. You cannot open them till Christmas day.

- we got a few family photos taken the beginning of November. Here are a few.
